2012-11-23 18:48:02 | Steven Doyle - Alternative tactics following Aut winter approach
Following last entry, as carp start to slow down try the Cage/Open end feeder prior putting Korum heli -rigs above end line feeder 4" hook lenght (basic bolt rig tactic) scaled down to 6lb/8lb main with 6lb hook lenght simple instructions to use. Flavored molasses maggots then freeze to create 24hr dead maggots on 16 hook 2/3 fill feeder plug thick method end then maggots then plug other end, alternate to 2mm/4mm feeder pellets with hair rig 6mm on hook to try for mixed bag but don't be scared to experiment and be pro active. Hope helps at Yoke Hill tight lines Steven.

I spent just an afternoon here on the fig8 part and could have filled three keepnets up easily, mainly catching carp including a lot of crucians on maggot and strawberry pellet on a simple running rig, great fishery and well looked after.

been to yoke hill today Sundays, wind was cutting so sat on the horseshoe lake.what a great day, fish every put in.mixed bag tench, rudd, roach, and carp.every method I tried caught fish.every bait caught fish.best method for me today was up in the water, caught roach.
