Million Makers - raising money for the Prince's Trust

  •

Help us to raise thousands in support of The Prince’s Trust! - Sponsor information leaflet

Who are we?
We are a team of ten colleagues working for Northumbrian Water and Essex and Suffolk Water Ltd in the North East and South East regions of England.

What is our aim?
Together, we share a common goal…
To raise significant funds in support of The Prince’s Trust: a youth charity which gives disadvantaged young people the skills and confidence to find a job.

How will we achieve this?
Our team is participating in The Prince’s Trust’s Million Makers Challenge 2010, which sees employees from 80 companies nationwide competing to raise as much money as possible for The Prince’s Trust.  We have established a mini-enterprise named ‘Syzygy’, and our business plan involves hosting a series of high-profile events across the North East and South East regions. This includes angling competitions of national significance, and a V. I. P Ball with charity auction. Our key objective is to raise a minimum of £10,000 in six months, all of which will be donated to The Prince’s Trust.

Why do we need your help?
It is important that we keep financial outlays to a minimum in order for our business plans to succeed. Please support us by offering donations, which could be used at our events as competition or raffle prizes, and charity auction lots.

This may include:

  • Cash prizes (any amount).
  • Raffle Prizes (general prizes, for example: vouchers, gifts).
  • Auction lots (preferably with non-cash value, for example: experience days, day/yearly passes, memorabilia, unique items, tours, tickets).
  • Any other donations, publicity or support for our events, including advertising space.

Any donation, however small, will greatly assist us in raising thousands for The Prince’s Trust.

What are the benefits to you?
We plan to implement an intensive marketing campaign across the North East and South East regions of England, utilising local media, magazines and the internet to advertise our events. Sponsors can benefit from positive publicity, and will be named on advertising materials upon request. In addition, sponsors will be entered into a draw to win a complementary corporate table at our upcoming V. I. P Ball. Most importantly, any sponsorships or donations will help us work towards achieving our £10,000 fundraising target and support the work of The Prince’s Trust youth charity.

'The Prince’s Trust is a registered charity number 1079675, incorporated by Royal Charter.
