Valley School from Worksop won the title for the fourth consecutive year running with a total of 107 points in the team classification. The team consisted of; Liam Ainsworth, Lewis Robinson, Robbie Moore, Dean Northage and Oliver Hipkiss.
 This is an  incredible achievement for Valley to retain the gold medal for the last four  years.  In silver medal position was Carlton Community College from  Barnsley with 89 points.   Their team were; Courtney Hyde, Jake  Aspinwall, Tyler Parkins, Connor Wilkinson and Jordan Hudson.  In third  position with 87 points was Dinnington Comprehensive  School  from  Sheffield.  The team consisted of; Jack Cardwell, Reece Kiernan, Joe Bird,  Luke Tongue and Thomas Kirkham.

Valley School  and Carlton Community College were back in the medals with two competitors from  each of the schools winning their sections.  Courtney Hyde A14 and Jordan  Hudson E2 from Carlton Community College, Lewis Robinson B14 and Robbie Moore  C23 from Valley School and Tom Worsop D4 from Bennerley Business and Enterprise  College.
In the  Individual classification Lewis Robinson of Valley School won the Individual  title to retain it for the second consecutive year with an outstanding winning  weight of 14.580kg on peg B14 Moat Outer.  In runner up position was  Courtney Hyde aged 11 who only started fishing a month ago with another good  weight of 12.980kg on A14 Moat Outer.  In third position from Bennerley  Business Enterprise College was Tom Worsop on peg D4 Bridge Outer with  12.290kg. 
The Angling  Trust Daiwa Schools National Championship was held on Wednesday 20th July 2011  at Hallcroft Fisheries, Retford with 21 teams of five anglers per team taking  part.  Cool overcast conditions met the competitors at the draw.   Fishing took place from 10.30am – 2.30pm with a lot of good catches on the pole  with mainly maggot, pellet and worms, and catches being a lot higher than last  year.  All the competitors had a really enjoyable day fishing and the rain  kept at bay until after the presentations.
A new trophy  that was introduced this year was the Geoff Woodcock Memorial trophy presented  to the highest placed girl in the competition.  Geoff was the Senior Coach  of the former East Midlands region of the NFA and the Coach Educator of the ADB  and the former NFA and in memorial of Geoff who sadly passed away last year,  the East Midlands region donated this new trophy for the Schools National  Championship.  Geoff’s wife, Corinne and family were present to award this  trophy to Courtney Hyde who also finished as 2nd place individual.
