This year’s competition will be incredibly close following the successes of our female athletes at the Beijing Olympics; however angling has been just as successful and needs anglers to stand up and be counted. 
The Angling Trust wants Emma to receive recognition as a sportswoman along with other female sports stars, and we need your help to do this.Please visit The Sunday Times website www.timesonline.co.uk/ or use the links on our own page www.anglingtrust.net/voteemma before January 19th when the competition ends and make Emma Pickering your nomination for the 2008 Sports Woman of the Year.
You will need to register on the website before making your nomination, and then follow the instructions on the screen. To cast your vote, you will need the following essential pieces of information which you can enter into the appropriate sections of the nomination form.

Recent Achievements – Emma Pickering is the first English woman to have won a World Championship since 2003. The young angler from Yorkshire not only won the World Championship but also came runner up with her team at the National Championships in July this year. Emma represents one of over 66,000 female anglers, making angling one of the largest female participation sports in the country.
