Sailing Lake Predator fishing has again been nothing short of breathtaking with countless double figure Zander and Pike hitting the banks. Biggest fish of the week was a 12lb 14oz specimen that fell to visiting angler Ian Howell of Oldham. Esthwaite Water Trout Fishery, situated in the beautiful Lake District, will be hosting the inaugural Esthwaite Kayak Predator Grand Slam competition on Sunday 30th October. There will also be a practice day on Saturday 29th October. The competition is open to all kayak anglers. This years event took place on the 9th july at sandwich fishery and had 37 anglers fishing. The lakes used were Damson and Victoria which are stocked with carp and bream, Kingfisher which has a large head of smaller carp and Berry which has a main stock of Tench and Crucian with lots of silvers. Luton AC offers fantastic fishing for most species with Carp to 37lb+, Tench 8lb+, Bream 10lb+, Chub 7lb+, Zander 16lb+, Pike near 30lb, Perch 3lb+ and Roach and Rudd over 2lb.
