Chatton Ladies have entered 2 ladies teams in the Macmillan's Fishing Day at Derwent 11th October. The ladies have grown in strength and enthusiasm over the season and are looking forward to entering again, for some of the ladies it will be there first competition. Catch Reports 18th August 2009 Mike Dibble fished the River Adur below White Bridge on the evening of the 15th August. Using feeder fished banded pellets it was a bite a chuck from the Skimmers & Mike managed about a dozen to nearly 3lb plus a decent Roach. The session would have been even better if two bigger Bream had stayed on the hook & not spooked the shoal. Mike reports that other hook baits were not nearly as effective. 11th August 2009…
Just recently, it would seem there have been several rumours surrounding our local lake in Aveley, Essex. The total catch on the Blackwater Lodge Salmon Fishery for May was 53 salmon to 13lb. averaging 8.1lb for only 182 rod days. This was the third best ever recorded, & the best since 1996. Last year we had only 22 for May averaging 7.3lb for 132 rod days. Following a very hectic week for the carpers this week, Temple produced its 80th thirty of the year whilst the Old Lake produced a 35lb common and some very hectic sport for one angler who caught 29 fish during his weekend session. THE LADIES TAKE TO THE HIGH SEAS The FFE Club had their first sea fishing trip on Sunday 2nd August 2009. Nether Mill Coarse Fishery is my local fishery and I fish it every week ... it's outstanding. It is stocked with loads of fish such as, carp, tench, bream, perch, roach, orfe, eel, ide, skimmers and a few trout. The carp are plentiful, running to a lake record of 20lb+.
