Each print is limited to 350 copies worldwide and signed by the artist. Following the coldest winter for over 30 years, water temperatures are still a month behind which has clearly affected the fishing which has made it almost impossible to prize a fish out of Temple. Bury Hill see’s huge catches of tench, bream and crucian as weather improves! The general fishing on all the lakes saw a marked improvement this week as the weather picked up with anglers fishing the Old Lake catching big bags of bream to 100lb, which included good numbers of tench. I have noticed many people taking coarse fish from the water and not returning them. Is it legal to retain fish? If not then I suggest the appropriate authority post signs indicating that such action is illegal. In particular the canal at Retford, Notts seems to be devoid of fish. This is said to be due to foreign fisherman who do not know the UK law, taking fish for consumption. Michael Griffiths November 2009
