The first qualifier match of this year’s Angling Trust & Canal & River Trust Stillwater Championship was fished at Boddington Reservoir using pegs 50 to 99 on Sunday 12th May 2013. With the rise in temperatures during the preceding week the expectations for a really good match at the third Fish ‘O’ Mania qualifier held on Wednesday 17th April were high at the draw. The Angling Trust is highlighting two reports from Europe that show that numbers of cormorants across Europe are their highest for 150 years. The studies further strengthen the case for action to be taken to protect fish stocks in the UK from unsustainable predation by cormorants.
